The two suggestions from this morning:  Napatism  and Cool Side of the Pillow.  Vote for one of those or give us your suggestion!  If we choose your suggestion we'll give you two tickets to our first gig!

Info for the Sustainability Book Club at Carolyn Parr

Dr. Flint was a guest on Kari Ruel's Sustainable Life Segment this morning.  He sent me this email with more information on the new book club:

The Napa Valley Naturalists are starting a Sustainability Book Club which they will host at the Carolyn Parr Nature Center on Browns Valley Road in Napa. We would like to invite you to join in some interesting reading and sharing of your perspectives on the subject matter of sustainability. The Book Club will meet once a month. A book title will be chosen by people in the community knowledgeable of this topic for each month’s reading and a reviewer for each book will be identified. The reviewer will start each month’s gathering with his or her summary of the chosen book, a description of how the book addresses the subject matter of sustainability, and their view on how the book’s message may relate to the Napa Valley. Following the reviewer’s comments, he or she will lead a discussion of the monthly book title with the audience.

The book review club is an educational and social activity that has proven very successful and enjoyable in other communities. We encourage you to get together with others under the sponsorship of the Carolyn Parr Nature Center and engage in this exciting opportunity to learn more and share your own views with others on sustainability, a subject that has grabbed the attention of the public and governmental leaders around the world.

Please let us know if you are interested in joining the Sustainability Book Club by sending an e-mail to rwflint@eeeee.net with “Sustainability Book Club” in the subject line. In that e-mail also let us know which parts of the week would NOT be good for you to get together with others once a month for this activity? Please respond before March 31, 2011. If you have any questions please call Warren Flint at (707) 251-1609 or send an e-mail to the above address.
